Meet Our Artists

The 5 talented artists who brought our Mental Health Art Box to life!

Victor Onyemuwa

Victor Enyinnaya Onyemuwa’s first experience as an artist was in elementary school where he was known to perform better than his mates when it came to fine art and craft.

He strongly believes he was born an artist and he ultimately proceeded to study and hone in on his skills through practical experience, learning through trial and error/self-learning, as well as studying the works of other great artists.

Victor is a self-taught hyperrealistic visual artist who works primarily with pencils and ballpoint pens on paper to create detailed photorealistic drawings.

Benny Gospels

Gospel Isikpi, also known as Benny Gospels, is a talented self-taught realistic artist hailing from Bayelsa State, Nigeria, born on August 8th, 2003.

His artistic journey commenced at the age of 5, initially involving tracing images from textbooks and gradually evolving into a fervent passion for crafting comic illustrations.

In 2018, Benny embarked on a quest to master the art of realistic pencil drawings, inspired by fellow artists he discovered online.

A turning point occurred in 2021 when he birthed his brainchild “The Three Ts” – Time, Technique, and Tool, propelling him toward remarkable progress. Beyond creating intricately detailed artworks, Benny aspires to infuse profound messages into his pieces, aiming to inspire self-discovery and self-acceptance in others.

Additionally, he mentors emerging artists, generously sharing his knowledge and skills, exemplifying the power of self-improvement and uplifting others through his artistry.

Israel Agboola

Israel Agboola Oladapo is a self-taught contemporary visual artist from Nigeria who expresses himself through various mediums with a focus on charcoal, acrylic and oil on canvas.

Last year, his work was featured at an exhibition with Allouche Gallery in Los Angeles, USA and he is currently exhibiting at the Omaka Gallery in London, UK. Having received numerous international commissions, his works are hung up in various homes around the world.

Israel’s desire is for his paintings to serve as a voice for the voiceless and help women and men everywhere to share their unique stories.

Vitalis Onyeigwe

Vitalis Ndubuisi Onyeigwe, a Nigerian visual artist born in 1998 in Amaifeke Orlu L.G.A, Imo State, began his art journey in 2017 as a self-taught artist specializing in charcoal and graphite pencils.

While pursuing a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria, he honed his artistic skills.

Using graphite and charcoal pencils, Vitalis creates hyper-realistic art that explores light, shadow, and the essence of his subjects.

His work reflects a wide range of emotions and experiences, aiming to resonate with viewers and evoke profound connections to the human experience.

Abiodun Ayomide

Abiodun Ayomide is a passionate artist from Nigeria who loves creating portrait art using pencils.

Upon completing his Bachelor’s degree program in Fine and Applied arts, he kicked off his freelance career fully.
