Sobriety is the quality or state of being sober, earnestly thoughtful, calm, not in a hurry, etc

We live in a world where everything seems to be “fast”. No one seems to be patient. In the country where I live (Nigeria), you can be stuck in traffic for several hours because somebody refuses to be patient, thoughtful and calm. We prefer to get to our destination on time without being delayed.

In this painting, I have explored the need for a retreat. That is, everyone needs to be in a state of calm and not be in a hurry to do anything. Before you sign that divorce paper, before you sell that property, before you walk away from that relationship, BE SOBER. Think about it. Even God is not always in a hurry, he has infinite patience. He said, “those who don’t believe are always in a hurry”(paraphrase).

Be SOBER. Be CALM. Never be in A HURRY
