The Eye of the Beholder, 2021

Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder; always remember that nobody is independent, it is that our dependency differs. Everyone is dependent on somebody/something or some people. That you are not dependent on what/who I depend on or that I don’t depend on some people does not make me independent. That my opinion differs from your own or popular opinion does not mean I have a mind of my own. Sometimes, what you call ‘thinking’ is actually you doing the listening. The question is who are you listening to? Once again, what you call ugly or beautiful is never about the object but the many things that have coloured your perspective as the Beholder. Nobody’s decision is home out of the blues, every person’s decision is influenced by beliefs, convictions, fear, expectations, experiences et al. No man is estranged from the influence of his environment.
