Life is a war – a physical, spiritual and mental battlefield; either win or lose. This spatial bronze sculpture of a male figure standing on bare feet on an iron curve base, with his two arms behind his back, while leaning forward with his head downward faceless is used to portray the mental conflicts of man. In the words of Johnny Daniel, “you can tell the size of a man by the size of the problem that gets him down”.
Every man passes through a plethora of challenges in life. These challenges are wrestled with by the individual and could be anything from discrimination, addiction, inequality, hopelessness, failure and disappointments, and fear among others. So many are imprisoned by their thoughts because they cannot find their way out. Many give in to too many overwhelming circumstances, that might be beyond their control, while some manage to move ahead. However, it is important to note that life is not balanced and such situations need to be properly handled because the bad times are not far from the good ones.
