Andrew Omote Edjobeguo is a Nigerian-born Sculptor and a multidisciplinary Artist. He hails from Orhoakpor of Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State. He obtained his first degree in sculpture at the University of Benin followed by a National Diploma in Art and Industrial design in Auchi Polytechnic Edo State Nigeria.
Andrew’s art steers from his personal life experiences, environmental challenges, gender equality issues as well as social and cultural dynamism. His recent research centres around spatial bronze sculpting and patina exploration allowing him to relate with space and forms in interpreting the holistic nature of human figures and animals.
Andrew participated in the Re-entanglement exhibition at Cambridge University Museum of Archeology and Anthropology, United Kingdom, in collaboration with Nosona Studios, Benin City, Nigeria. He has also done several commissions and joint projects with other artists. Andrew is a full-time studio artist.
