Dawit Tamrat is a mixed media artist from Ethiopia who followed his art passion after high school and joined the Teferi Mekonen (TMS) School of fine arts. He graduated in 2011.

Soon after, he joined the Addis Ababa University (ALE) School of Fine Art and design specializing in printmaking.

Receiving formal training gave him the techniques and academic skills he needed to showcase his perception as an artist.

Dawit experiments with different art forms such as painting, graphic design and cartoon animations.
