title of the art, which means “the three of us” in the Igbo language suggests a sense of
togetherness and solidarity.

However, the deeper meaning of the title becomes apparent as you examine the artwork closely. “Anyi Metu” is a powerful work of art that explores the intricacies of human relationships, it asks us to consider the bonds we form with others and the complex emotions that can arise when those bonds are tested.

Whether we have experienced betrayal ourselves or not, the artwork speaks to our universal human
experiences of love, loss, and conflict.
